Lisa grew up in Iowa and in 1992 went to the Kansas City Art Institute. She graduated in 1996 with a BFA in Printmaking/Painting. Lisa then moved to Denver, Colorado. She lives in Denver with her husband, John and their two daughters. She keeps busy in her studio both out of her home & downtown. She is constantly working on a new series of paintings & illustrations. She has been a working artist for over ten years now and has shown her work at festivals & galleries across the country. She has illustrated for many magazines - both locally & nationally. Lisa is self diagnosed OCD - although anyone that knows her would not dispute such a diagnosis. She currently is obsessed with documenting everyday life with her family & dogs. On most months she takes over 1000 photos and has gone thru 6 digital cameras in just 3 years. (not from lack of care - from physically wearing them out) In her spare time (which is limited - being a stay at home mom) she can be found in front of her computer or on an outing to an estate sale or flea market to collect more stuff for her work and her house. She also enjoys painting the walls colors that make her husband cringe and illustrating childrens books for her daughters.
